Experience

In the SOF technique spectroscopic measurement of the sun are conducted in the infrared and UV-visible wavelength region. In this way it is literally speaking possible to directly see the gases in the solar light. Many molecular species can be detected, i.e. VOCs (alkenes and olefines), NH3, HCl, HF, CO, HCHO, NO2 and SO2.

By using a mobile measurement platform it is possible to circle around emission sources and thereby quantify the total amount of gas leaving a certain area.

Our measurement applications include industrial conglomerates, such as the Houston shipchannel with several tenths of large industries, as well as located measurements inside facilities, such as crude oil tank parks, water treatment, flares, process area and product storage facilities. Also more detailed process studies of flare efficiency, loading and unloading operations and tank cleaning have been succesfully demonstrated.
